Various Starfish (Adjunct Metaphors)
Polyster film prints with ink on paper

11 x 8.5 inches

The making of this series involved using my left index finger as an additive and subtractive template to generate figures which tried to probe the boundaries of their space. The prints were generated through a unique process of inking polyester film cut-outs and applying them onto paper.

This series emerged partly out of a fascination with how starfish anatomy -without a centre to its nervous system, resembling a hand without a wrist - is perceived in the framework of the human fantasy of autonomy.
