Performance with modified table top
Presented at Dynamo Arts Association as part of a Not Sent Letters&Guests set.

This work involved describing to the audience a series of images -an imaginary slideshow- and through these descriptions weaving together conflicting discourses around self-care and care-for-the-other. Meanwhile, the cut-out table top was shifted into various configurations in relation to my body.

From event info:

“Damla Tamer (an artist interested in the artistic-political stakes of encountering singular events, forgetting them, and then letting them reconfigure in relation to other forms of representation) provides narration for a legless, carved-out table (once university property) that has gone through various modifications vis-à-vis successive institutional and/or artistic re-presentations.”
